In the first half of 2026, Kazakhstan's non-commodity goods trade turnover reached $43.9 billion, with processed product exports growing by 17.6% to $15.2 billion.
Kazakhstan's non-commodity goods trade turnover with all countries of the world reached $43.9 billion based on the results of January–June 2026. Compared to the same period last year, the indicator grew by 7.6% or by $3.1 billion. At the same time, exports demonstrated significantly higher dynamics. In the first six months of 2026, Kazakh enterprises supplied $15.2 billion worth of processed goods to external markets — 17.6% more than a year earlier.
The first six months of 2026 became another period of growth for Kazakhstan's foreign trade in non-commodity and processed goods. Against the backdrop of moderate import growth, exports became the main source of positive dynamics. Over the year, export supplies increased by $2.3 billion — from $12.9 billion to $15.2 billion, while imports grew by 3%, from $27.9 billion to $28.7 billion.
Today, the foundation of the export basket is formed by such positions as copper and copper cathodes ($2.84 billion), uranium ($1.51 billion), ferroalloys ($1.1 billion), silver ($781.3 million), sunflower oil ($533 million), and animal feed products ($438 million).
An important result is also the ratio of growth rates. With exports increasing by 17.6%, imports of non-commodity and processed goods grew by only 3%. As a result, the gap between exports and imports is gradually narrowing, and the trade balance improved by $1.4 billion over the year.
